HIP HIP HIPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE!

GUTHRIE, Okla. - You hear that?
That's the sound of music.
News broke Tuesday morning of a two-day folk festival coming to Guthrie, Okla. featuring some of the industry's breakout artists.
The highly acclaimed English quartet Mumford & Sons will headline the event, scheduled for Sept. 6 and 7.
The 2013 Gentlemen of the Road Festival will only be stopping in five cities -- and only three in the U.S. -- making the announcement an even more welcome surprise.
Created by the band in 2012, last year's Grammy nominees said the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover spots are chosen specifically for their small-town feel.
On the festival's website, the Mumford & Sons bandmates wrote:
"It’s a real privilege that being in Mumford & Sons has allowed us to be able to shine a light on these towns, places that sometimes don’t get the love they deserve, and to be the facilitators of great musical coming-togethers."
Other bands making the trip include Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Alabama Shakes, The Vaccines, Half Moon Run, Willy Mason, Those Darlins and Bear's Den.

Located 35 miles North of Oklahoma City, Guthrie was the original capitol of the Oklahoma territories. The two-day Stopover event will take place at Cottonwood Flats, just across the river from historic downtown. A fleet of iconic vintage trolley cars will shuttle patrons back-and-forth between the event site and downtown for aftershows, street parties, and other surprises.

To truly experience the Stopover, we recommend camping at Cottonwood Flats, steps from the concert site. The music will begin on the evening of Friday, September 6, and continue with an all-day concert on Saturday, September 7.

Confirmed lineup includes: Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (Friday), Alabama Shakes, The Vaccines, Half Moon Run, Willy Mason (Friday), Those Darlins and Bear’s Den, with more to be announced.
